Odisha emerged champions in the Vinoo Mankad Trophy East Zone U-19 One-day League, trouncing Jharkhand by six wickets in their fourth and last match at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata today. Sandeep Pattanaik starred in the victory, scoring an unbeaten 96 (92b, 12x4, 2x6). Ashutosh Das and Rajkishan Patel also made notable contributions, taking four and three wickets respectively.
This was the third win in a row for Odisha, who finished at the top of the table with 12 points from four outings. After losing to Assam in the opening match, Odisha bounced back to beat host Bengal, Tripura and Jharkhand.
